Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet with President Bush in Washington this week, ahead of the President’s second visit to the region in mid-May. With the pace of U.S. engagement in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process picking up, what are the prospects for a final status agreement before Bush leaves office? To provide us with a first-hand assessment, the Saban Center and the American Task Force on Palestine are pleased to co-host Yasser Abd Rabbo, the Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization and Policy Adviser to President Abbas.

He will be introduced by Ziad J. Asali , President of the American Task Force on Palestine; Martin S. Indyk, Director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy will moderate the discussion. This Saban Center Policy Forum will take place on Friday, April 25, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Falk Auditorium at the Brookings Institution, 1775 Massachusetts Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C. We look forward to seeing you there.
