Watch the hilarious, inspiring and witty TedTalk by Palestinian-American comedian Maysoon Zayid, explaining how she conquered physical disabilities and willed for herself the winning and positive attitude of an “I-Can-Can” person—a phrase coined by Maysoon herself.

The head of TED, Chris Anderson, tweeted today: “Maysoon Zayid. What an astonishing woman. A TED talk like no other.” Maysoon is a co-founder of the Arab-American Comedy Festival, among many other accomplishments. (Click on image to watch the video)

Maysoon says, “I’ve got 99 problems and palsy is just one,” adding “I’m Palestinian, I’m disabled, I’m female and I live in New Jersey… the doctor said I wouldn’t walk, but I’m here in front of you. If we had more positive images, it might foster less hate on the internet…If I can can, you can can.”
