Rawabi - January 1, 2010 - Back to Resources Page

Rawabi is a new city for Palestinian families. It will provide opportunities for affordable home ownership, employment, education and leisure and an attractive environment in which to live, work and grow. Best of all, Rawabi is a true quality-of-life option well within the financial reach of many young Palestinian families.

Rawabi will be a state-of-the-art new city - a residential, commercial, cultural, and economic development complex of more than 5,000 affordable housing units that once completed will be home to up to 40,000 Palestinians. The city will encompass a central commercial area with banks, retail shops, gasoline stations, medical offices, professional services offices, schools, community playgrounds, walking trails, a hospital, a hotel, a movie theater and other arts venues.

Rawabi’s business district will be an ICT-enabled, investor-friendly commercial center, unprecedented in Palestine. Its commercial activity will be launched from a hub of high-tech and research-related businesses in a variety of sectors. These local and international activities will provide rewarding jobs for Palestinians.

Rawabi’s commercial components will be seamlessly integrated with modern, comfortable and affordable housing as well as high-quality public services designed for Palestine’s rapidly growing class of young professionals.

The hills within the Ramallah region offer a fertile and historic landscape influenced by natural processes and human interaction. Steeply sided valleys channel through the rolling terrain forming a challenging and spectacular setting for the Rawabi development and community.

A development of Bayti Real Estate Investment Company, Rawabi is designed to serve a new generation of Palestinians coming of age and seeking welcoming surroundings to build families, careers and lives.
