The United Nations is submitting the 55th bi-weekly report on the implementation of the 15 November 2005 Agreement on Movement and Access (AMA), covering the period 12-25 December 2007.

The Karni and Rafah crossings remain closed for the movement of goods and people to and from Gaza. On 23 December, Israel decided to reopen Sufa crossing for humanitarian and commercial commodities. Throughout the reporting period, Israel permitted the export of 24 truckloads of strawberries and carnations from Gaza through Kerem Shalom. Overall, a total of 862 truckloads, including 92 from humanitarian agencies, were allowed into Gaza between 12-25 December, compared to 950 truckloads in the previous reporting period.
