On December 10th the US-Palestinian Partnership welcomed the leaders of four Palestinian Youth Development and Resource Centers (YDRC). As an integral component of UPP’s efforts to develop opportunities for Palestinian youth, the YDRCs focus on providing training and educational programming for young Palestinians.

The panel, entitled "Keeping the Two-State Solution Alive: Israel-Palestine Negotiations One Year After Annapolis," was moderated by IPF National Scholar Dr. Steven Spiegel who presented questions to Dr. Asali and Dr .Yoram Peri, the Head of the Chaim Herzog Institute for Media, Politics, and Society.

US-Palestinian Partnership Visits West Bank to Support Education and Economic Initiatives

In mid-November, U.S.-Palestinian Partnership co-chairs, Ziad Asali and Jean Case, and Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs James Glassman led a delegation to the West Bank and Israel to announce the Partnership's accomplishments to date and explore future opportunities. The delegation participated in the opening of a Youth Development and Resource Center (YDRC) in the village of Beita.

ACP to Distribute One Thousand Laptops to Palestinian Students

Washington, DC, Nov. 21 -- On Nov. 20, the American Charities for Palestine (ACP), the Palestinian Ministry of Education, and USAID announced the commencement of distributing 1,000 laptop computers to Palestinian students in the Occupied Territories. The laptops, worth $200,000, were donated by One Laptop per Child in partnership with ACP and delivered with the help of USAID.

U.S.-Palestinian Partnership Leaders to Travel to the West Bank

Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs James K. Glassman, together with American Task Force on Palestine President Ziad Asali and Case Foundation CEO Jean Case, will lead a delegation to the West Bank from November 15 through 18. As co-chairs of the U.S.-Palestinian Partnership (UPP), they will attend the inauguration of a youth development and resource center in the village of Beita. This is the first of four youth development and resource centers that UPP is working to expand with the support of the U.S.
