Dear friend:
On behalf of the American Task Force on Palestine, I wish you a happy and prosperous new year.
2013 marks the second decade of our advocacy for the vital cause of peace. ATFP has been unwavering in our commitment to helping achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Rather than operating from an ethnic perspective, our policies are informed by the American national interest, with the understanding that peace is also in the vital interests of Palestinians, Israelis, and the whole world.
We know compromise is the essence of achieving peace, and have honestly and openly told the truth about what it means to compromise, fully aware of how painful it is. Because we have not only called for the principled pursuit of compromise, but also lived up to it in practice, we have paid, and continue to pay, a price.
What we will not compromise on are either the goal of peace or our integrity. We know how easy and popular it would be to appeal to emotions. Instead we have opted to appeal to reason and the better judgment of all who truly want to end the conflict.
As ATFP begins our second decade, we hope you will help make it possible for us to continue. We give you our commitment that we will persevere, as we again ask for your support. Please donate by clicking here.
Happy New Year,
Ziad
