Washington, D.C., May 25 ? The American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP) and American Charities for Palestine (ACP) today issued a worldwide appeal for donations to assist the Palestinian refugees affected by the fighting in the Nahr El-Bared refugee camp in north Lebanon. ATFP and ACP have partnered with the United Nations Relief and Works Organization (UNRWA) to direct donated monies specifically to the Nahr El-Bared refugees.

American Charities for Palestine is the newly established ATFP charitable sister organization with a mission of working with other national and international charities to address Palestinian humanitarian needs.

?The suffering of the innocent Nahr el-Bared Palestinian refugees demands our immediate action to provide humanitarian assistance and to urge that all military actions abide strictly by international humanitarian law,? ATFP president Dr. Ziad Asali said. He added: ?For the refugees, this is the time for donations not words.?

Donations to ACP can be made by check and mailed to ATFP at 815 Connecticut Avenue NW, #200, Washington, D.C. 20006. Donations can also be made online. Credit card and wire donations are also accepted by calling the ATFP office at 202-887-0177.
