The American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP) is happy to announce the donation of the amount of $100,000.00 to Dar El-Tifl (Home of Children) in Jerusalem. The donation comes from ATFP's Palestine Humanitarian Fund, established to fund Palestinian humanitarian projects in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. Dar El-Tifl is a Palestinian charity established in Jerusalem in 1948 originally to care for Palestinian children who were made orphans. Today, in addition to 250 orphans that live at Dar El-Tifl, the center has expanded over the years to become an educational institution, providing 1,450 day students with schooling from pre-school to graduate level studies. This includes Vocational training in such subjects as catering and secretarial work, the Hind Husseini Art and Literature College offering bachelor’s degrees in English, Arabic and social studies, and a joint master’s degree in Palestinian and Islamic civilization with Al Quds University.

All funds raised by the Palestine Humanitarian Fund are raised from the generosity of individual donations to ATFP. Including the Dar el-Tifl donation, ATFP has donated to Makassed and St. Luke hospitals, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, and to Gaza refugees, totaling $155.000.00 to-date.

ATFP would like to thank all those that have donated to the Palestine Humanitarian Fund and looks forward to the continued funding of humanitarian projects in Palestine.
