Two Palestinians were seriously injured Friday evening in clashes with Israeli soldiers in Gaza City and the southern West Bank town of Hebron, medics said.
Ashraf al-Qedra, a spokesman of Gaza health ministry, told reporters that a 20-year-old Palestinian was seriously injured by an Israeli army gunshot in the chest in northern Gaza Strip.
The young man is in serious conditions, al-Qedra said.
Witnesses said a group of young Palestinians approached the borderline area between northeast Gaza Strip and Israel, and clashed with Israeli soldiers in the area. The soldiers fired at the Palestinians and seriously wounded the young man, who was later taken to hospital by a local ambulance.
There is no immediate response from the Israeli army on the incident.
Meanwhile, another Palestinian was shot in his neck in Hebron in southern West Bank during clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian demonstrators, witnesses and medics said.
Since Egypt brokered a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas movement in November, six Palestinians have been shot dead near the borderline between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
