On Wednesday 6th March, Al-Aqsa Association for Waqf and Heritage said in a press statement that Israeli settlers and soldiers stormed al-Aqsa mosque and assaulted several Palestinian worshipers in clashes erupted at the mosque's courtyards.
Eyewitnesses said that a group of settlers raided the mosque, and the Palestinian women worshipers started following them and chanting "Allah Akbar, "God is the Greatest" as a way to protest the raid. The soldiers suppressed the protest and tried to arrest one of the women.
Clashes sparked between the Palestinians who were at the mosque and Israeli soldiers. The Palestinian Nasser Malhas from Jerusalem was injured after Israeli soldiers pushed him to the ground and was transferred to the medical clinic inside the mosque for treatment.
One of the soldiers also attacked a woman and removed her veil "Hijab" after she tried to defend herself when a settler attempted to take a picture for her.
Al-Aqsa Association considered the continued assaults against the Palestinians in the holy places, a violation of international laws and conventions and that these attacks prove the hatred of the Israelis toward the Palestinians.
