The words "Hagit, you're dead" and "Kahane was right" were daubed near the apartment of Hagit Ofran, the director of Peace Now's Settlement Watch project.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which marks the third time hate slogans were spray-painted near Ofran's apartment in Jerusalem.

Ofran said she noticed the words "Kahane was right" on the building opposite her own as she left her apartment Monday morning. A short while later, a neighbor phoned her and said the words "Hagit, you're dead" were spray-painted near their building's stairwell.

"I didn't notice the graffiti near the stairwell because I was facing the exit. Those who were entering the building saw it clearly," Ofran said.

She mentioned that in November 2011 unknown vandals daubed the words "Rabin is waiting for you" in the same stairwell.

"It was a few days before the anniversary of (Rabin's) assassination. Prior to that incident, in September, they wrote 'price tag'," she recalled.

Ofran says she is not deterred by the threats. "I think extreme rightists are trying to frighten us, but we - the Peace Now activists – are not scared. Unfortunately, they are succeeding in scaring the government and the State Prosecutor's office," she said.

Ofran stressed that she has no intention of moving to another apartment.
