After studying civil engineering at Mississippi State University, Essam Ghalayini worked in a variety of local and international contract firms. He went on to found GH Development - a Washington, DC corporation specializing in real estate and contracting. Residing in Fairfax Virginia, he and his wife Arab have one daughter, Razan, who recently graduated from New York University.
