Dear ATFP supporter,

The ATFP 10th Anniversary Gala on Oct. 29 was truly inspiring. The faces of the 650 attendees beamed as the first rays of the “I Can See Palestine...” video shone through the darkness of the Ritz Carlton ballroom. Everyone attentively watched this new ATFP video covering the first decade of the Task Force's work.

Watch the video

The film tells the story of ATFP—the profound impact it has had in Washington and new model for empowerment it has pioneered—as described by prominent Washingtonians and engaged personalities from various backgrounds, all of them committed to peace.

With your support, ATFP will continue to build on and develop its credibility and influence in Washington to advocate for the American national interests in ending the occupation and establishing a Palestinian state. “A moderate and sensible voice for compromise and [a] solution,” Sam Lewis, former American ambassador to Israel, called ATFP in the film.

Increasing numbers of young Arab Americans see ATFP as a model to emulate and a tool for empowerment. “It’s very helpful to know that there are engaged…committed like-minded people in the Arab-American community that can help us all work together to achieve our hopes for ourselves and our country,” said a young Palestinian-American congressional staffer, Bassima Alghussein, while standing outside the Capitol Building and expressing her hopes for a better future.

With your generous support, ATFP can achieve even more. Thousands of young Arab Americans are yearning to engage the American political system and devote themselves to helping to transform the dream of peace into a reality. ATFP can be their vehicle. Together we can make it happen.

In “I Can See Palestine...,” Aaron David Miller, Vice President of the Wilson Center and a former senior US official, observes that ATFP is particularly effective in Washington because it works with “integrity, pragmatism and vision.”

ATFP applauds President Barack Obama's leadership on peace and his Administration's efforts to revive negotiations. At the same time, we must guard against the possibility of delay and frustration. With your generous help, ATFP will continue providing creative ideas to improve conditions on the ground that can keep hopes for peace alive even in the face of sluggish diplomacy or an impasse.

The Palestinian people need help improving their quality of life, and reforms for good governance, accountability, transparency and the rule of law, in spite of the occupation and precisely in order to end the occupation.

Your donation will also advance ATFP’s outreach efforts and enhance our ability to communicate with the decision makers and opinion-shapers in Washington, as well as the Arab-American community and the rest of our fellow Americans.

Donate Now to ATFP—an American organization that makes a real difference for peace, for Palestine, and, especially, for our national interests.

Thank you for your generosity and support,

Ziad Asali, M.D.
President
