ATFP Holds Third Annual Gala

On Sunday, October 12th, ATFP held its Third Annual Gala entitled "The Courage to Persist, the Will to Build". The Gala was attended by 650 guests, including Palestinian ministers and officials, a Palestinian business delegation, members of congress, Arab and European ambassadors, US officials and members of the media, as well as members of the Palestinian-American community.

American Charities for Palestine signs “Historic” Partnership Agreement with USAID

Washington, DC, August 1 – Today the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with American Charities for Palestine (ACP) initiating a partnership to help harness the generosity of the American people to help meet Palestinian humanitarian needs. USAID Administrator Henrietta H. Fore, who presided over the ceremony, described this achievement as “historic” and “the first of its kind.”

ATFP Joins With Groups Urging Travel Rights for Palestinian Students

Washington, DC, July 16 - The American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP) has joined with six other American organizations to urge Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to use her good offices to convince Israel to allow hundreds of Palestinian students in Gaza to travel to their universities around the world. The organizations sent a letter to Secretary Rice dated July 15 asking the Administration to help secure travel permission for hundreds of Palestinian students in Gaza who have been accepted in foreign universities but who are not being allowed to leave the territory by Israel.
