Leah Croughan is a senior at The George Washington University, majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies. She is currently writing her thesis on the American-Jewish involvement in the question of Palestine and how the political climate within the American-Jewish community has changed from the Oslo Accords to the present. She became personally invested in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after studying abroad at the American University in Cairo. In addition to pursuing fluency in Arabic, she plans on working and studying in the Middle East in order to develop a more in-depth knowledge of the complexities of the Israeli-Palestine conflict and its implications for regional politics in order to make a contribution of her own in this area.
