Emily is studying philosophy at Yale University, where she will be a sophomore in the fall. At Yale, she plays trombone in the concert band; is an executive editor on the Yale Philosophy Review; participates in the Roosevelt Institute, a student policy thinktank; and tutors middle-school students. She also coaches the debate team at Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD and teaches at summer debate institutes. Emily has a longstanding interest in Israel and Palestine that began with her Jewish upbringing. She has visited Israel twice and attends as many relevant events as possible on campus.
